The Passing of Our Sister

October 21, 2017

We pray in thanksgiving to God for the long life and fruitful ministry of Sr. Stella Maria Enright, DMJ, who entered eternal life on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017.

While we mourn the passing of our dear friend and longtime collaborator, we pray in confidence that she is now in God’s warm embrace.

Sr. Stella served for 47 years as the principal of St. Paul the Apostle School, the parish school of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community, where we serve in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

In 2013, Sr. Stella celebrated her 60th anniversary in religious life.

The photo above shows Sr. Stella with our president, Paulist Fr. Eric Andrews.  Below are two videos that are testaments to the wonderful ministry of Sr. Stella and the other Daughters of Mary and Joseph at St. Paul the Apostle.

We pray for Sr. Stella in the ancient words of the Church:

May the angels lead you into paradise,
may the martyrs come to welcome you,
and take you to the holy city,
the new and eternal Jerusalem.
