Happy 50th Anniversary, Fr. Tim!

Fifty years ago today, on February 22, 1969, Paulist Fr. Timothy Tighe was ordained a priest.

Fr. Tim is a native of Union City, NJ.

He entered the Paulist novitiate on September 6, 1964, and made his first promises to our missionary society on September 8, 1965.

He made his final promises on September 8, 1968.

From March, 1969, to September, 1978, Fr. Tim served at St. Patrick Church in Memphis, TN.

From there, he served on the staff of the Catholic Information Center in Baltimore, MD, and at the Paulist Office of Evangelization at St. Paul’s College in Washington, D.C.

From January, 1982, to September, 1988, Fr. Tim taught instruction classes, first at Holy Angels Church and then at Old St. Mary’s Church, both in Chicago.

He then spent 11 years as part of our preaching apostolate.

Fr. Tim lives today at the Paulist Motherhouse in New York City.
