Fr. Thomas A. Kane, C.S.P.

Paulist Fr. Thomas Kane is executive director of Paulist Reconciliation Ministries and Landings International, our ministry for Catholics returning to the Church.

He also directs Paulist Pilgrimages, curating and leading journeys around the world that are spiritual, cultural and historical.

Fr. Kane taught preaching, liturgy and the arts for 33 years at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA, and Boston College School of Theology and Ministry in Chestnut Hill, MA. 

He also is a ritual maker and videographer with research interests in the arts, communication, liturgy and culture.  Fr. Kane has studied contemporary worship and celebration and has written and lectured on liturgy, dance and creativity in the United States and abroad.  In his research, he has documented liturgical inculturation in three videos: The Dancing Church of Africa, The Dancing Church of the South Pacific, and FIESTA! Celebrations at San Fernando Cathedral, published by Paulist Press.

He also edited the 2014 Paulist Press book "All Holy Men and Women: A Paulist Litany of Saints."

Fr. Kane was ordained May 17, 1975.  During his first years as a priest, he was a campus minister at St. Thomas More Newman Center at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
