Our founder, Father Isaac T. Hecker

Lord, lover of us all, you spoke your Word to the world in Jesus and began the gathering of grace which is your Kingdom.

You called Paul to be a special ambassador of your love, bringing your word to all nations with a zeal and a passion that echoed your own burning love for every person.

You called Father Isaac Hecker to walk in the steps of Paul in our North American culture: that your Word would be spoken again, with the tools of the modern age.

We ask you to call new modern missionaries, sons of Hecker, by the power of your Holy Spirit. May they burn with passion to bring the Gospel to today’s world, that all may know the mystery of your irrepressible love.

May they follow the Lord Jesus with the fervor of Paul and Hecker and carry on the mission of the Paulist community.

We pray this through Christ Jesus, our Lord, in the power of your Spirit.
