Paulist Fathers Diaconate Ordinations 2017

January 11, 2018

Before a Paulist seminarian becomes a priest, he first serves about nine months as a transitional deacon. During this time, he can preach homilies, baptize, preside at weddings and more.

In this new video, relive moments from the Mass on Sept. 2, 2017, at which Paulist seminarians Ryan Casey and Michael Hennessy were ordained transitional deacons. The Mass was celebrated in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.:

Are you discerning a call to serve the Church as a priest?

Or, do you know someone who would make a great priest and Paulist?

If so, please learn more about our next “Come & See” weekend retreat.
