A funeral Mass for Rev. Mr. Richard Joseph Boudreau, CSP, will be offered on March 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Toronto. Rev. Mr. Boudreau died on March 6 in Toronto. He was 77 years old and a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle for 50 years. Interment will take place in the Boudreau family plot in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered for Father Philip William Hart, CSP, on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Westwood. Interment will take place in Montreal, Quebec. Father Hart died yesterday, Jan. 22. He was a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle, the Paulist Fathers, for more than 40 years.
Father Hart was born on Aug. 16, 1941 in Montreal to Philip W. and Kathleen Johnson Hart. He maintained his Canadian citizenship and spoke French and English.
Father Lawrence McDonnell died on Jan. 23. A funeral Mass will be offered for Father McDonnell on Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 60th Street and Columbus Avenue in Manhattan. Father McDonnell was 85 years old at the time of his death, and a member of the Paulist Fathers for 65 years.
A Mass of Resurrection will be offered for Father Edward R. Donovan, CSP, on Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul the Apostle Church in Los Angeles. Father Donovan died Dec. 24 in Los Angeles. He was 82 years old at the time of his death, and a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle for 59 years.
Father Robert A. O’Donnell, CSP, died Nov. 26 at the Paulist Residence in Manhattan. He was a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle for 67 years, and was 88 years old at the time of his death. A Wake will be held Dec. 2 from 7-9 p.m. at the Paulist Motherhouse common room (415 W. 59th St. in Manhattan). A funeral Mass will be offered Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St.
Father Peter Gerard Shea, CSP, died Sept. 23 in San Francisco. A funeral Mass will be offered Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at Old St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco. (A viewing will take place from 6-7 p.m.) A funeral Mass will also be celebrated Sept. 29 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oak Ridge, N.J., (funeral following 10 a.m. viewing). Burial will take place after the funeral in the Paulist section of St.
Father Robert Titus Scott, CSP, died July 16. A Wake service will be held July 18 from 4-8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly in Totowa, N.J. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered July 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s. Paulist President Father Michael B. McGarry will preside; Father Michael A. Hanly will deliver the homily. Interment will take place following the liturgy in the Paulist Fathers section of St.
The Paulist Fathers have handed over the pastoral care of St. Augustine Church in Memphis, Tenn., back to the Diocese of Memphis, according to the Paulist administrative team. The transition will take place at the end of June 2012.
Current pastor, Fr. Bob Cary, C.S.P., informed St. Augustine parishioners over the weekend of May 26-27, and he told them a new pastor, Father Anthony Clark of the Society of the Divine Word, has been appointed to the church.
