What kinds of parishes are using Landings?
ALL KINDS!
- Campus Ministry:
St. Thomas Aquinas Parish at The University of Colorado at Boulder has run Landings
sessions since January 1997.

Sister Pat Froning from the Diocese of Owensboro, KY, and Father Bill Deering of the

- Large suburban parishes:
Several Chicago area parishes have already signed on.
How are other parishes recruiting for Landings?
- Many parishes display banners or signs in front of the Church and other public places.
- A Returnee spoke briefly before each Christmas Mass at St. Thomas More, Austin, Texas.
- A parish showed the 7-minute Landings video after each Mass in Gainesville, Florida.
- Landings members sponsor parish events like a pancake breakfast.
This raises money for the retreat and keeps Landings visible to the community.
- Many times it is the enthusiasm of the people who have experienced Landings that encourages parishioners to extend invitations to possible Returnees.
Who is Landings geared towards?
- Catholics who have left or drifted away from the Catholic Church
- Those Inactive Catholics who would like to explore the possibility of returning to the Church and receiving the Sacraments.
What does Landings offer to returning Catholics?
- Landings offers a supportive community within which returning Catholics can...
- ask questions
- discuss issues
- deal with difficulties
- Landings offers a safe environment for returning Catholics to come to terms with recent changes within the Church and themselves
