Make your donation to the Paulists go further through donation matching
Does Your Employer Match Charitable Donations? Does your company match donations to educational institutions? Your support of Paulist seminarians through a gift to the Catholic University of America or the Washington Theological Union can go further!
Many companies have a matching gift program in which they will match a certain percentage of a charitable donation made by an employee and also donate to that institution on your behalf.
The best way to find out if your employer matches charitable donations is to contact your Human Resources Department.
If you want to do a quick search, the University of Oregon has a great tool you can use to find out if your employer has a matching gift program, their preferred procedure, and links to required forms if they are available.
Here are some examples of typical matching gift procedures, but be sure to check with your HR department to ensure that your donation will be matched.
- Employee donor sends check to matching gift company, authorized company officer adds matching gift check and forwards both to the recipient institution.
- Employee donor sends form with gift to recipient institution, authorized officer certifies and returns to company for match.
- Employee donor contacts corporation via telephone to report gift and initiate match.
- Employee donor presents evidence of gift (receipt) to matching company, and company matches.
Once you’ve learned your employer’s preferred method of matching gifts, please send your donation and any necessary forms to:
