150TH Anniversary Liturgy & Picnic on the Common
Thank you for joining us as we celebrate 150 years of Ministry by the Paulist Fathers. During and after the picnic, bags will be available to collect any and all garbage, so please help us leave the Common looking as beautiful as it did when we arrived.

Pastoral Council Election
This year’s Pastoral Council elections will take place after all the liturgies on the weekends on May 31/ June 1 and June 7/8. There are four open seats, each serving a two year term that begins in Sept. 2008. By May 8, those interested in running must deliver to the Council mailbox on the 6th floor a notice of their desire to serve. This notice must be signed by 25 community members willing to support the person’s candidacy. Prospective candidates also must submit by that day a brief statement indicating who they are, why they want to be on the Council, and what they would like to see happen on the Council. In addition, we ask for a photo that will be posted on the bulletin board in the elevator lobby along with the statement. Council members and all the members of the staff are available to provide additional information on the process and on the responsibilities involved in being on the Council. Please see them for more information.
Peacebuilding and Reconciliation
Today “Mission” is in crisis and it is forcing us back to the fundamentals of our faith. “God’s Mission” for our time stands out most powerfully in Christ’s words, as recalled by John, “That all might be one…” On June 4th, Fr. Jon P. Kirby, SVD will trace the ways in which a new culturally therapeutic enactment genre for peacebuilding and reconciliation called “Culture- Drama” is “mission” par excellence for our time in his presentation at 7:00 PM in the 3rd floor library. Jon is a missionary-anthropologist of the Society of the Divine Word and has been recently appointed the new Finian Kerwin OFM Chair of Mission Studies at Washington Theological Union. For more information, click on EDUCATION on our Paulist Center website and look under ADULT EDUCATION.
